This course explores how to effectively perform a SAFe® Product Owner/ Product Manager role in the Agile Release Train (ART). Attendees explore how to apply Lean thinking to decompose Epics into Features and Stories, refine Features and Stories, manage Program and Team backlogs, and to plan and execute Iterations and Program Increments.

Certified SAFe® Product Owner/ Product Manager
All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended:
- Attend a Leading SAFe® course
- Experience working in a SAFe environment
- Experience with Lean, Agile, or other relevant certification
How long is the course?
The course is two full days. We start at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 5:00 p.m. on both days.
How big is a class?
The maximum number of delegates is 25, allowing the opportunity for focused learning and in-depth discussions.

Can this course be done virtually?

Does the course include certification?
Yes. The course includes one attempt at the Certified SAFe® Product Owner/ Product Manager exam from Scaled Agile.
Is this certification internationally recognised?
Yes. This certification is recognised around the world, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East.
Is the certification included in the price?
Yes. One exam attempt is included in the price of the course.
Is SAFe® Product Owner/ Product Managers the same as the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)?
No. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is a certification with Scrum Alliance. Please refer to our schedule for Certified Scrum Product Owner courses.
Does the certification expire?
Yes. This certification needs to be renewed annually with Scaled Agile. Please refer to the Scaled Agile website for the latest information on renewal costs.
Is there an exam?
Yes. Completion of this course gives you access to the Certified SAFe® Product Owner/ Product Manager exam and all related study materials as part of your learning journey.
Do we write the exam during the training?
No. You will have 30 days to write the exam after the completion of the course.
What is the format of the exam?
The exam is 90 minutes long and includes 45 questions.
Is the exam an open book?
No, this is a closed book exam.
Can I earn Professional Development Units or Scrum Education Units from this course?
Yes. Please refer to the latest PDU and SEU guidelines for more information.

How can I pay?

Can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel or reschedule for free up to 10 days before the course. After that, an additional R1500 fee is applicable. The reason is simple: We have already incurred costs in registering you for the course and you may be taking a spot from someone else.
